At this home in Downingtown, there were many dwarf evergreens that had outgrown their space. Most dwarf evergreens eventually get too big for an area right along the house and walkway.
The native shrubs along the garage will only get 6-7 feet, stay tall and airy, and may never need to be pruned. The shrubs along porch get cut down with the perennials every spring and will only reach 2-3 ft. Native honeysuckle was added to the porch posts for some tall height that won't get wide, and they bloom from April till frost
